Dalton has been tutoring for over ten years, beginning with his peers in high school AP courses. He has since helped hundreds of students prepare for the SAT and ACT in the Philadelphia area. He graduated in 2018 from Drexel University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management. Dalton greatly enjoys helping to figure out what test-taking strategies and techniques work best for each student and help them to achieve their academic and testing goals.

Dalton has started a 3D printing business and co-founded a company that is developing strategic board games. In his free time, he enjoys doing trivia with friends, competing in board gaming tournaments and following the Philly sports teams.

Alex R.

Alex graduated from the University of the Arts in 2010, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication, studying media production and dissemination. Alex has been tutoring for over 15 years, helping hundreds of students improve their scores on the ACT and SAT, working independently and for several test prep companies. In fact, Alex was one of the first ever Premier College Prep tutors. Aside from an interlude for a few years when he moved to the West Coast, Alex has been helping Premier students achieve their goals since 2016.

Alex loves working with students to find strategies that work for them, substantially improving their scores and bringing new college options within reach. His favorite part of tutoring is customizing his lessons and strategies for his students to make them as effective as possible. In his free time, you can find Alex outdoors with a good book, preferably something about psychology, his favorite topic.

Mary holds a Professional Science Master’s in Applied Research and Evaluation from Temple University, where she focused on Educational Psychology. Her studies in motivation, development, and learning shaped her tutoring approach, drawing on Dweck’s Growth Mindset Theory and Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development to help students stretch beyond their comfort zones.

Since 2014, Mary has logged over 1,400 hours tutoring all sections of the SAT and ACT, both one-on-one and in small groups, in person and online. She first joined Premier College Prep in 2019, contributing to curriculum design, analyzing the Digital SAT rollout, and teaching one of the first Digital SAT classes in March 2024. Known for her upbeat, encouraging style, she keeps students motivated while ensuring they are challenged to reach their goals. A lifelong learner herself, Mary enjoys studying vocabulary, revisiting advanced math, going to the gym, and practicing flow arts like juggling and fire poi.

Claire K.

Claire began tutoring at Wesleyan University's math workshop while earning her undergraduate degrees in math and neuroscience. She has been tutoring and teaching ever since, with the exception of 2015-2017 when she took a break to earn her Master's of Public Administration at the University of Pittsburgh. She's happy lecturing or working in a classroom, but her passion is working one-on-one, where she can tailor her explanations and pinpoint areas for student improvement. Students who need more guidance benefit from her supportive, gentle style, while extremely prepared students should expect to delve deeply into specific topics and reach new heights of academic excellence. Claire has extensive experience across academic subjects from poetry to anatomy, but the plurality of her experience is in helping students prepare for the SAT and ACT -- and of course, she loves math most of all.

She interned in Washington DC for her MPA and still has a passion for activism and civil rights. She hopes to one day start her own nonprofit focusing on foster children and rescue animals.

Eric Borowsky, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in English and Cinema Studies, has worked as a full-time tutor in the Philadelphia area since 2012. He has helped hundreds of students attain their goals on standardized tests, craft compelling college essays, and ultimately obtain admission to their schools of choice. In that time, Eric has developed a knack for motivating his students and tailoring instruction to their individual needs.

Prior to working in the test prep industry, Eric had a brief stint as an assistant at a Hollywood film production company. He now resides in Maple Glen with his wife and two sons, with whom he enjoys patronizing the local movie theaters and seeing as much live music as possible.

Julie W.

Julie is a passionate math educator with over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring all subject areas. She has prepared students for a wide range of tests, including ISEE, HSPT, SAT, and ACT. She currently works as a secondary math intervention teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. She is committed to making math accessible and rewarding for all learners. In addition to her extensive experience in mathematics, she offers valuable support in the verbal sections of standardized tests.

Julie is originally from Italy, and is fluent in Italian. She is passionate about traveling, gardening, cooking, and camping at national parks at home and abroad. Julie brings varied educational experience to her tutoring, which helps her provide patient and encouraging support to students of all ages.

Lauren F.

She is a part-time tutor with close to five years of experience preparing high school students for the SAT and ACT. She also has two years of experience preparing students for the AP Language and Composition, AP US History, and AP European History exams. One of her favorite aspects of tutoring is teaching the logic of the design of the SAT and ACT exams so that students can better allocate their time and answer each question with greater certainty.
