Welcome to Premier College Prep!
Who We Are
Premier College Prep is a results-driven test prep and college essay coaching service, dedicated to helping students maximize their potential and achieve their college goals. We serve students in the suburbs of Philadelphia at our tutoring centers in Ambler and Main Line area (Haverford). We also connect with students around the globe in online sessions.
Why Premier College Prep?
Customization: Each test prep plan and college essay coaching package is completely customized to fit the needs of the student. Our extensive diagnostic and consulting process allows us to carefully devise a custom plan for each student. Read more about our process here.
Expert tutors: We only hire the best. All of our tutors have the following:
Years of experience tutoring all sections of the SAT and ACT.
Perfect (or near-perfect) test scores.
Most importantly, the ability to connect with and communicate their knowledge to students in a way that leads to results on the tests and beyond.
Efficient prep plans: It’s not easy to prepare students for a test that encompasses essentially everything they’ve ever learned. That’s why many test prep companies recommend 30 or 40 or 80 hours of prep. While we customize plans to each student, our most common recommendation is just 12 hours of prep. Years of honing our methods have given us the ability to guide students to highly substantial improvements in a short period.
With our 1-on-1 tutoring, there is no wasted time covering familiar concepts, no busy work, and no one-size-fits-all curriculum. We identify what a student needs to improve, and we work to get them there as efficiently as possible. By achieving results in fewer hours, we keep down the overall cost to you.
Our small group classes are limited to only 10 students, ensuring that each student receives a personalized prep experience. In designing the curriculum for our classes, we used our years of experience analyzing the SAT and ACT to distill the most critical and high-value content into an efficient 6-week program.
Our score improvements are unmatched: Our test prep students have increased their scores by an average of nearly 6 points on the ACT and over 160 points on the SAT. See the details of past student improvement on our Score Improvement page.
Free proctored tests: There’s no better practice for the SAT or ACT than a full-length, realistic, proctored practice test. We value proctored tests so highly that we offer free proctored practice tests to our students every single week. Our proctored tests are always free for our current students and to any former students who completed at least eight 1-on-1 sessions with us. Space is sometimes limited, so sign up early!

In addition, Eric made the process as stress-free as possible for me. He started us off with a timeline for the process and then followed through on each step along the way. From the initial consultation to the final essay-writing, the process was seamless. I was able to enjoy the college tours and search process with my son because I knew Eric had the preparation and application under control.
The cost was also extremely reasonable, in part because he recommended a test prep strategy that was more efficient (and substantially less costly) than taking an in-person course. We can’t thank him enough for his help and we whole-heartedly recommend him to our friends."

Eric took the time to explain the program and the tutors were wonderful. Eric returned every phone call and every question answered. He even answered a panicked email on the weekend to help my daughter. Dane (tutor) provided great tips for test taking, how to manage time, and what to concentrate on during the test. I highly recommend Premier! We have two great success stories with each child getting into their #1 choice for college."

Eric diligently worked with my son, challenging him but at his pace, with continual encouragement and via his unique individualized approach and was able to help my son achieve test scores that were close to 300 points higher than his initial PSAT. As you can imagine we were absolutely thrilled with the results!
Eric teaches and engages your child to master skills; strategic tactics and SAT/ACT “smarts” resulting in successful standardize testing scores. He and his staff are extremely communicative and open discussing any parental/student concerns as well as providing continual feedback. It has been a wonderful experience and a true relief that someone has my son’s best interest at heart during what can be a very stressful time in college preparation. Thank you to Eric and his team as the end result is what truly counts- I am ecstatic to say that we all were winners!"

We are proud of [student] because she worked hard throughout high school as a NHS member and with your program although with time constraints. We are grateful that your company Premier Edge Prep and her tutor Sean prepared [student] as she achieved her goal."

Now for the outcome - Eric felt that he could increase her ACT score by 3 points definitely, and that she was capable of an increase of 4 points. She attended approximately 10 tutoring sessions and got the additional 4 points at her first test sitting. She is DONE and I am grateful to Eric and Premier Edge Prep for making this possible. Take it from a mom on her second child going through testing - self study and group settings just do NOT get you the results that the individual instruction does."

[Student 1] – 1290 (620 Eng and 670 Math).
[Student 2} – 1290 (590 Eng and 700 Math). Same as a 27 on the ACT? Good scores for them and the best ones of the bunch. They both made great progress with Dane’s help and the regular testing at your offices. You certainly have a great program at Premier and Dane has been a huge help to [my son and daughter]. I think that the 2 weekends of testing back to back really helped get their timing down in preparation for the May 5 test date. Thanks again and please feel free to use us as a referral for Premier and/or Dane if you ever need."

[Student] received acceptance letters from all five schools to which he applied. The two large out of state universities he considered waived their out of state tuition fee as a result of his test scores meeting merit award levels. Lastly Eric encouraged [student] to apply, and subsequently accept admittance, to the honors program at his chosen school. We sincerely appreciate all the work Eric put in helping [student] become an excellent applicant. It paid off for us…literally!"

In addition, he helped the kids think about where they would like to go to school based on their interests and goals. The college process can be overwhelming especially with two children starting at the same time. Eric was not only a mentor for our students he was a guide for us as parents. He is someone that the kids can relate to and has a professional and mature demeanor to communicate well with parents."

Eric stands out as an SAT tutor because of his deep knowledge of the intricacies of the test combined with his ability to clearly articulate a wide spectrum of concepts to students. Eric is professional, yet relaxed and generously stayed in touch with me to give college advice after the conclusion of our tutoring. Eric's SAT tutoring opened up doors for me and I recommend him to anyone seeking high-quality, personalized instruction for their kids."
